Work started on the 18th May with a very pretty bright pink tiered cake at a new wedding venue in Santa Eulalia, the venue is old 🙂 I mean that in a nice way, it is the beautiful Buena vista Hotel on the hillside below the church as you enter Santa Eulalia – one of the oldest established hotels on Ibiza, lovingly kept and run by the Ibicenco family, it makes an absolutely stunning wedding venue, with the added benefit of gorgeous hotel bedrooms, beautiful gardens and an extremely good restaurant – worth a visit if you are in Santa Eulalia. If you are looking for a wedding venue that is a little different and very good prices – take a look at this place.
So work then started with a vengeance on the 29th May, my first wedding cake of the season at the wonderful wedding venue Amante, I have many many wedding cakes to deliver there this season, so far I have delivered 4 …… now having a ‘days’ break tomorrow I will be delivering another one!!!
On the 30th May this year I made a wedding cake for Maurina and Art – a lovely Dutch couple who wanted something ‘spectacular’ for their beautiful wedding at Amante . I made my most ambitious wedding cake ever, 5 tiers separated with layers of handmade sugar flowers lavishly decorated on all tiers. I have included a couple of photos of this cake so you can see for yourself. It didn’t finish there because I also made something a little different on the 1st June in the form of a vintage tiered cupcake tower again at Amante.
I will leave you with a few photos of this years cakes while I return to my kitchen to cook more cakes and make more decorations……………………………………
