Ibiza Wedding Cakes June 2012

Well June is almost over, it’s hot here in Ibiza and now of course full of the beautiful tourists. I am just coming up for a breather having worked flat out since early May. This week is a little quieter, so hopefully I will get some time to take in a little sun, would be nice to have some colour on my very pale skin 
So what’s happening at Ibizacakes this year, firstly I have met some exceptionally lovely young couples who have visited my place to taste and talk about wedding cakes – my passion These couples often come to see us as opposed to just me, as my Husband is that most lovely ceremony host: Hedley Paul see his website at: www.blessings-on-ibiza.com .
Then of course I have made what I hope were beautiful cakes for these lovely couples. I have received lovely messages of thanks, so I believe I delivered what was ordered which was ‘a dream wedding cake’.

I am looking forward to July, as my Grandson is coming to stay, got to be the best feeling ever having a lovely Grandson  he is 4 years old now and can swim like a fish, so the swimming pool or sea is where we will ‘hang out’. Of course he will also want to help make cakes – especially trying his hand at making ‘sugar flowers’ – although I never seem to have many flowers at the finish of our session, as I think most of the sugar paste ends up inside of him !!! It’s a nice excuse on his part to get himself a nice ‘sugar rush’ !!! Sorry Mommy 
I have a couple of unusual cakes this month, One will be in the shape of Ibiza Island – with pirates!!
I have a very lovely ‘white’ wedding cake to do, my bride wants to have cupcakes and top cake in all white – set out on a very large tiered stand with small white candles and petals in between each cake. Should be lovely, I will get pictures and post them on here.
