Ibiza Wedding cake  why??
There is a lot written on my website all about how lovely the cakes look etc etc, I would like to add the REASON a beautiful wedding cake is part of this very important day.
A good wedding cake reflects the colours and theme of the day, the all important photographs emphasise this, if time and thought has gone into the design then the photographer will have positive joy in taking photographs which incorporate the whole scene and this will serve as a wonderful memento of  the day.

 The bride and groom have normally spent months sometimes over a year planning the day, having everything ‘just right’, so when the day is over all of this is stored in the memory,  and in those all important photographs to gaze upon for a lifetime

The wedding cake is part of the wedding feast and as such should be on display throughout the wedding meal.  It has been made over a long period of time in order that this can (and should) happen.

One of the major tasks on planning your wedding in Ibiza is helping to organise accommodation for family and friends.  The Most economical way  is to ‘block book’ a hotel for friends and relatives or ‘block book apartments’or even villas , most in fact nearly ALL hotels, apartments – will give a discount if you book a number of rooms, especially well in advance and of course if the wedding is  early or late season.

A good source  is the Ibiza Holidays Group – the owners  are English, bought up on the Island so have a great knowledge and can get you the best rates, in fact most of the accommodation on the websites is ‘direct to owners’ so no paying any ‘extras’Take a look at the websites: Ibiza or the ibiza hotels – they have a contact  email or telephone number where you  reach an English person who can help you to get that –great deal.

Making the decision to ‘get married in Ibiza’  is just so easy to do, often couples only know the Island through holidays spent here, and suddenly they realise it’s not quite the same trying to organise from afar  the dream wedding for themselves and the guests they wish to invite. Suddenly it becomes quite a  daunting task and this leads to a kind of ‘panic’ as reality sets in!!!!.  So where to start – time consuming trawling web sites, wading through the confusing data – often leading nowhere. …..   forums and blogs are really the best place to start, read what others in the same situation as yourselves have to say, take care not to be lead into just one website – who claim to ‘do everything for you’  - a wedding planner for example – unless of course you wish to go ‘down that route’ – if money is no object then a wedding planner is perfect – email lots (there  are literally hundreds on the Island willing to ‘perform’ as a wedding planner).   Remember,  best use a wedding planner who has plenty of experience!!! – ask when emailing. You also need to have a nice ‘repore’ with your planner, you will be working very closely with them over a period of months, so you must be relaxed with him/her.  Here at Ibizacakes we only make the cake –  but we do get to meet many wedding planners, photographers, restaurateur’s, see venues, churches etc.   We can give an ‘unbiased’ opinion  of our ‘birdseye view’ of weddings in Ibiza.
